Spindle material?

Has anyone used Honey Suckle as a spindle for a hand drill? How about dried out Wild Rose?What are some good spindle materials I can find in Ohio?

Hello AdenaIn Ohio you should be able to find horse weed, mullein, teasel,golden rod and cattail for starters!Good LuckAlberto
